We have some remarkably good news about the intended purchase of the former village primary school.
The necessary financial arrangements are now in place for us to exchange contracts once solicitors have carried out their searches. We hope for completion of purchase by early March or thereabouts.
It is great news for the village, however we shall need to continue fundraising in order to renovate etc, but at least we will have ownership of the premises.
One immediate community benefit will of course be the availability of additional car parking for local events, church services and the like. Maybe in future it might be possible to install electric vehicle charging points there...... who knows!
